Ballas Birth & Wellness Collaborative

Supporting Families in Creve Coeur, Together

For Doulas • Midwives • Birth Professionals • Expectant Families

At Ballas Chiropractic and Nutrition Centre, we believe expectant mothers and their families do best when the professionals supporting them communicate, collaborate, and work as one team. Dr. David Wipperman earned his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Logan College of Chiropractic in 1985 and has spent decades caring for St. Louis-area families, including through pregnancy chiropractic and pediatric care. He has also pursued additional education in nutrition and functional medicine.

Through the Ballas Birth & Wellness Collaborative, we’re opening the door to deeper partnerships with the doulas, midwives, lactation consultants, OB-GYNs, and other birth professionals who serve the same families we do.

Learn More About the Collaborative

Our Goal

Our goal is simple: to become a trusted resource for St. Louis birth professionals and the families in their care. We focus on the physical and nutritional aspects of pregnancy, birth preparation, and postpartum recovery, always in a way that respects the role and expertise of every member of the birth team.

Our Philosophy

We don’t want to replace what you do. We want to complement it.

Doulas, midwives, chiropractors, physicians, therapists, lactation professionals, and every other member of the birth team bring something the others can’t. When we understand each other’s roles and work together instead of in separate lanes, the whole care experience can feel more connected. That’s the model we want to build in St. Louis, one relationship at a time.

Ways We Can Collaborate

Education for Birth Professionals

We offer complimentary presentations for doulas, midwives, and birth organizations, including:

  • Preparing the Body for Birth: What Every Birth Professional Should Know About Pregnancy, Pelvic Balance, and Physical Comfort
  • The Fourth Trimester: Helping Moms Recover Physically After Birth
  • Pregnancy Wellness From the Inside Out: Nutrition, Movement, and Physical Wellness for Mom and Baby

Education for Expectant Parents

We’re also glad to bring this same education to your clients and community. Whether you’re hosting a childbirth class, a new parent series, or a wellness event, we’ll gladly contribute a presentation on preparing physically for pregnancy, birth, and postpartum recovery.

Professional Resource

When it’s appropriate, Ballas Chiropractic and Nutrition Centre can serve as an additional resource for clients experiencing musculoskeletal discomfort or looking for guidance on physical wellness during pregnancy and postpartum. We welcome referrals in either direction and are always happy to work alongside your existing care team.

Families who are new to the practice can also learn more about what to expect on our New Patients page.

Community Collaboration

Birth fairs, networking gatherings, childbirth classes, community wellness events: if it helps St. Louis families, we want to be part of it. If you have an event or initiative in mind, let’s talk about how we can be involved.

Working Together for Local Families

Whether you’re a birth professional interested in a presentation or a family looking for a care team that works together, we’d love to hear from you. Reach out to Ballas Chiropractic and Nutrition Centre today to learn more about the Collaborative.
